An Election Eve Thought
There is a whole genre of books that I like to refer to as “Everything you know is wrong books.” They are books who’s overarching thesis is, obviously, “everything you know about [insert subject] is wrong.” Maybe it is that China discovered America, or that it was really an Italian who invented the radio, or Alexander Hamilton wasn’t extremely leery of democracy, or any other thing. Sometimes these books have relevant and well-sourced basis, more often these books are extrapolated from some small thing. So you have to take them with a grain of salt and use a discerning eye to figure out what is well researched and what is excited ranting.
And the increasing claims of rightward blogs that the election is really as close as all the polls say it is sound just the same. Considering that it is looking pretty darn tough for him to win.
Just saying.
