About
I’ve tagged this site as my “data shadow,” which is defined as the data we leave behind by simply by interacting with the digital age.
We all have a real world location. Some of us have two or three, depending on where we work and how many additional residences we’ve acquired. But we also increasingly exist in digital space, and so I decided that I would have a data shadow, a place of existence on the internet.
The site is called Ignorantia Juris because, well, it amused me. One of the first things that you learn at law school is the maxim “ignorantia juris non excusat,” or “ignorance of the law is no excuse.” The idea of having ignorantiajuris.com, effectively “ignorance of the law,” as the personal web page of a law student seemed to be fitting.
I am a second year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, interested in plaintiff’s litigation. I did my undergraduate work at the Colorado College, and then earned an MA from King’s College, London.
Besides fighting for the little guy, I snowboard, shoot, get plenty of exercise, and read in my spare time. Interests include law, politics, history, technology, and the future implications of all of those things.
Enjoy. And please feel free to contact me.
