Hmmm

Michele Malkin is advising the people upset over the passing of Prop. 8 that they lost, and they should “Move On.”

So, all the people who think that three cells have a souls should do the same in Colorado and South Dakota, right?  Shut up, sit down, and never raise the issue again?  Right?  And that whole Roe v. Wade thing, which keeps getting affirmed by them pesky judges, that should serve as a signal, correct?

Yes, They Would

I hate this right wing trope, that various complaints about Christianity wouldn’t happen if the Christian were replaced by Muslims.  It is both intellectually lazy and dishonest.

First, really?  Prove it.  The fact is that American Islam doesn’t have a tenth, a hundredth, of the authority, money, and stature of Christianity in all it’s various forms.  And, with regards to this specific issue, it didn’t have a tenth of the effect on the election and California’s Proposition 8.  Maybe, had Islamic organizations had the effect on Prop. 8 that Catholics and the LDS did, and I don’t mean proportionally, they … Continue Reading

Good Job America

Tomorrow, the work begins.

Note to Bob Schaeffer

Listen Bob. I wasn’t inclined to vote for you, and I in fact did not vote for you.

But, that’s the definition of Socialism!

Barack Obama on John McCain’s recent strategy:
By the end of the week, he’ll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in Kindergarten. Continue Reading

As a Matter of Personal Opinion

Related to this, I just want to say that I agree with this sentiment to a certain extent:
[O]n the general principle that information in an open society shouldn’t be kept secret and that the voters should make up their own minds about whether or not they trust certain candidates, this video should be set free. Continue Reading

The Disingenuity is Palpable

David Bernstein, who’s posts at the Volokh Conspiracy are the most stridently partisan in favor of McCain, has reached a new level of disingenuousness in this post.

First things first, I will do you the courtesy, Professor Bernstein, that you don’t think Obama is an extremist or has extremist views.

But this statement is beyond the pale: Continue Reading
